Diamond dresserUsed for grinding complex-shaped and high-precision parts, the diamond dresser features the combination of multiple grinding processes into one, improving the linearity of the forming wheel, which can greatly enhance product quality and production efficiency. The natural diamond wheels produced are made by manually arranging and embedding diamonds during firing. It has advantages such as high profile accuracy, strong forming capability, fast dressing speed, high efficiency, simple operation, long service life, and stable shape, precision, and roughness for batch processing of parts. The diamond dresser can be widely applied in industries such as aerospace, military industry, machine tools, automotive manufacturing, bearing industry, hydraulic textiles, etc., thus achieving better economic benefits.
Advantages of diamond dressers: Diamond dressers are used for processing non-ferrous metals and non-metals and have good cutting capabilities for non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, manganese, gold, silver, magnesium, lead, titanium etc. Diamond dressers are widely used in automotive and motorcycle engine pistons, bearing shells, optical instruments, motors and electronics industries. They are ideal tools for processing wear-resistant non-metallic materials like cardboard, glass and nylon. Diamond dressers can withstand impact loads with minimal wear; they can be repeatedly ground and their durability is tens to hundreds of times that of hard alloys.
Processing steps for diamond dressers: 1. The metal pen is fixed on the fixture with its end face perpendicular to the radial direction of the grinding wheel; the axial direction of the chain pen forms a 15-degree angle with the radial direction of the grinding wheel for dressing purposes. During installation, the movement direction of the dresser should point towards the radial center of the grinding wheel. Even if the outer diameter of the grinding wheel decreases, the installation angle of the dresser should not change; however it is necessary to consider the crystallization direction of diamonds when selecting a less worn installation direction. 2. The metal pen does not need to be ground first. After using up one layer of diamonds on its surface it can continue to be used by grinding until another layer is exposed. 3. The feed speed during edge cutting is generally 0.02-0.04 mm per stroke; longitudinal feed speed should be uniform. The general feed speed is between 100-500 mm/min; during fine cutting it should be lower than during rough cutting with a working stroke of 2-4 strokes and an empty stroke of 1-2 strokes. 4. When dressing a grinding wheel add coolant; quenching after heating is prohibited.
Diamond dresserProcess introduction: Through powder metallurgy technology and high-temperature hot pressing sintering process to fix diamonds onto tool holders with specific specifications. Broken diamonds are not easy to fall off when used for dressing purposes. Impurities and bubbles do not explode during dressing making it an economical tool for wheel dressing. Different arrangements and structures form various specifications of metal pens to adapt to different types of grinding machines' wheel dressing needs. Diamond pens are mainly used for dressing dull wheels; after a period of use due to dull abrasive grains on surfaces causing debris to fall off making wheels insufficiently sharp unable to grind normally requires using diamond pens to repair dull wheels allowing dull abrasive grains on surfaces to fall off.
