The reason people recognize itDiamond drill bit, is because they have good usage effects. However, the correct methods should also be mastered during use. For example, during the creation process, excessive swinging should be avoided as much as possible; otherwise, unnecessary wear due to damage may occur, which will affect normal use to some extent. The classification and application of diamond drill bits are introduced as follows:
1. There are many classification methods for diamond drill bits, the commonly used methods mainly include
(1) Classified by purpose
1. Engineering drills are mainly used for engineering construction. This type of engineering drill has many specifications and a large consumption volume, forming a specialized main product series.
2. Industrial drills are mainly used for core drilling. They are primarily used in product processing, such as cutting wide screens and wide lenses, and embedding silicon wafers.

3. Sample drills are mainly used for sampling and analyzing materials such as large graphite electrodes and refractory bricks.
(2) Classified by manufacturing method
1. The hot pressing method is similar to the hot pressing manufacturing method of geological impregnated drill bits. A ring can be made first and then welded onto the steel body or directly hot pressed onto the steel body.
2. The electroplating method is similar to the manufacturing process of electroplated drill bits. The electroplating method can be divided into epitaxial growth method and conventional method.
(3) Classified by the type of diamond used
1. Natural diamond engineering drills use natural diamonds as cutting and grinding materials, mainly used in building materials and construction industries.
2. Synthetic diamond engineering drills use synthetic single crystal diamonds as cutting and grinding materials, mainly used in optical and chemical industries.
2. Reasonable usage conditions for diamond drill bits
Due to their brittleness, poor impact resistance, and strong thermal sensitivity, diamonds are used under stricter conditions than other drill bits.
1. Requirements for cleaning the bottom of the hole
Before operating a diamond drill bit, a hard alloy drill bit with a shape similar to that of a diamond drill bit must be used to repair the oil well. Wash away large rock debris, broken metal pieces, and other objects from the bottom of the hole with water and let them settle into the powder collection tube.
2. Initial grinding of new drill bits
The diameter of the newly selected diamond drill bit must be smaller than that of non-diamond drill bits, and it must undergo break-in drilling. The initial speed should be set at 40-50 r/min with an initial drilling pressure at one-eighth of normal drilling pressure (approximately 0.15-0.2m), then switch to normal drilling.
3. Selection of normal drilling parameters
(1) Determining drilling pressure should consider formation lithology and lifting force at the bottom caused by hydraulic flushing. Generally, in soft formations, the specific pressure at the lip of the bit is about 6.9 MPa. In hard formations, due to shallow cutting depth with small contact area with rocks and easy breakage under overload conditions in hard formations, it is recommended to use a smaller specific pressure generally around 5.1 MPa.
(2) Speed:Diamond drill bit'After break-in period, an ideal speed should be as high as possible to fully utilize the advantages of diamond drilling.' It is generally considered that safe rotational speed is around150 r/min; when formation conditions allow along with quality rod material and equipment capacity permitting higher speeds up to300 r/min can improve drilling efficiency.
